Shipping policy

Mountain Man strives to get your orders out in a timely fashion. We are a smaller company and due to the employee shortage that UPS and USPS are facing right now, shipping times are not guaranteed. Most Ground orders and Priority Mail orders will ship within 24-48 hours of being placed if they are ordered within our business hours, with exceptions of holidays and weekends. (Pick up orders are also normally ready within 24-48 hours.) Remember that we are closed Friday through Sunday so orders placed Thursday are not guaranteed to ship by the weekend.

In addition, orders for baskets may take an additional day to ship as most baskets are made once ordered.

* If your order has heat sensitive products, we may hold it until we know that it will be delivered without sitting somewhere overnight.

Mountain Man utilizes United Parcel Service (UPS) and US Mail (USPS Priority, Express, Flat Rate). Shipping rates are calculated automatically by the weight of products & the destination address.

Please remember that UPS cannot deliver to a PO Box. It is a standard practice of UPS to leave a parcel on your doorstep.

Upon shipment of your order, an email with tracking information (and link) will be sent to the email address as submitted on the order, so you can easily follow the progress of your package.

Heat Sensitive Products

Some of our products are heat sensitive (and are marked as such on the product pages) and we do NOT recommend ordering these items during the warm weather months. While our warehouse is climate controlled, transit and delivery vehicles are not. (Nor is the area where your delivery driver will likely be leaving your package.)

We do offer Heat Sensitive Packing which will add cooling to your order, but understand that it is not guaranteed to stop products from melting and melted product is NOT a valid damage claim. We do not offer refunds or credit for products that arrive in a melted state, so please choose wisely when ordering products for shipment during warm weather months.

Please note that we will stop shipping chocolates as temperatures rise and will begin  to ship them again once temperatures cool. Exact timing will vary from year to year based on actual weather conditions.
